Preaching to Baka Brahma Posture

ครั้งหนึ่งพระพุทธเจ้าประทับ ณ ป่าสุภวันในเขตเมืองอุกกัฎฐะ มีพรหมคนหนึ่งชื่อว่าพกะ มีความเห็นไม่ถูกต้องว่ามีตัวตนที่มั่นคงยั่งยืนและพยายามให้ผู้อื่นเห็นด้วยกับตน พระพุทธองค์ทรงทราบจึงเสด็จไปยังพรหมโลกตรัสสอนว่า ความเห็นเช่นนี้ไม่ถูก เพราะทุกสิ่งล้วนเป็นอนัตตาไม่มีตัวตนที่มั่นคงยั่งยืนแต่อย่างใด พรหมไม่ยอมรับฟัง จึงหาเหตุผลสนับสนุนความเห็นของตน พระพุทธองค์ก็ทรงแก้ด้วยเหตุผลเช่นกัน ในที่สุดมีการท้าให้แสดงอิทธิปาฎิหารย์เล่นซ่อนหากัน พระพุทธองค์ทรงชนะโดยซ่อนบนเศียรของพกพรหม ทำให้พกพรหมยอมแพ้และยอมละทิ้งความเห็นผิดของตน

While the Lord Buddha was staying at Subhaga forest in Ukattha, there was a Brahma named Baka who misunderstood that he was immortal and he tried to make others believe so. When the Lord Buddha had known of this misunderstanding, he went to Brahma Loka and taught that such the idea was wrong as everything is soul-lessness (Annata) and is not permanent. Baka Brahma didn't listen and he had tried to raise several reasons to support his beliefs. The Lord Buddha also raised reasons. Finally, he challenged Baka Brahma to play hide and seek. With magical power, the Lord Buddha hide himself over the head of Baka Brahma, so Baka Brahma succumbed and finally agreed and believed the Buddha.
