Calling for rain Posture

สมัยหนึ่ง พระพุทธองค์ประทับ ณ วัดเชตะวัน เมืองสาวัตถี เกิดฝนแล้งอย่างหนัก ทำให้ประชาชนตลอดจนสัตว์ต่าง ๆ เช่น ปลาในน้ำเดือนร้อนกันไปทั่ว ด้วยพระมหากรุณาต่อสรรพชีวิต พระองค์จึงทรงอธิษฐานขอให้ฝนตก ด้วยพระบารมี ฝนจึงตกลงมา จนทำให้ห้วย คลอง หนอง บึง รวมทั้งสระโบกขรณีที่เคยเหือดแห้ง กลับเต็มด้วยน้ำ ยังความชุ่มชื้นให้เกิดขึ้นแก่มนุษย์และสัตว์ทั้งหลาย

While the Lord Buddha was staying at Jetavana monastery in Savatthi, there was a severe drought which caused a lot of trouble to people and living creatures. With his loving-kindness and his virtue, he made prayer calling for rain to fall down bringing life back to everyone in the compound.
