ครั้งหนึ่ง พระพุทธเจ้าได้ตรัสรู้แก่ภิกษุ ณ เชตะวันวิหารว่า พระองค์ประกอบด้วยทศพลญาณ 10 เวสารัชชญาณ 4 จึงได้ปฏิญญาณตำแหน่งจอมโลกบันลือหนาท และทรงประกาศพรหมจักร คือ ประทานธรรม เรื่อง เบญจขันธ์ และปฏิจจสมุทรบาท แก่เทวดาและมนุษย์ และได้ตรัสแก่เสลพราหมณ์ว่า พระองค์ทรงเป็นพระธรรมราชาที่ยิ่งกว่าราชาทั้งหลาย และทรงเป็นพระธรรมราชาที่เคารพธรรม

Once, the Lord Buddha spoke with monks at Jetavana monastery that he possessed Dassabalanana 10 (the ten supreme intellectual powers of the Buddha) and Vesrajja 4 (intrepidity). He announced Brahmacakka which were "Pancakkhandha (The Five Aggregates) and Paticca-samuppada (The Dependent Origination or the Law of Causation)" to angels and human beings. He spoke with Sela Brahma that he was Dhammacakka who was above all kings and venerated Dhamma.
