หลังจากที่พระพุทธองค์เสด็จจงกรม ณ ที่จงกรมแก้ว 7 วันแล้ว ต่อมา (นับเป็นสัปดาห์ที่ 4 จากวันตรัสรู้) เทวดาเนรมิตเรือนแก้วขึ้นถวาย ทางทิศพายัพ (ทิศตะวันตกเฉียงเหนือ) ของต้นโพธิ์ จึงเสด็จขึ้นประทับนั่งขัดสมาธิ ณ เรือนแก้วนั้น ทรงพิจารณาพระอภิธรรมปิฎก ตลอดเวลา 7 วัน สถานที่นั้นเรียกว่า รัตนฆรเจดีย์

Seven days after the Buddha had performed walking meditation, which was in the fourth week after he had attained enlightment, the deities magically created a crystal palace for him at the northeast of the Bodhi tree. Then, the Buddha went to meditate in the crystal palace throughout seven days. The site is called Ratanaghara Stupa.
