Gazing at Bodhi Tree Posture

หลังจากได้ตรัสรู้ พระพุทธองค์ประทับเสวยวิมุตสีสุข (สุขที่เกิดจากการหลุดพ้น) ณ ใต้ร่มโพธิ์ 7 วัน จากนั้น ทรงดำเนินไปทางทิศตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของต้นโพธิ์ เพ่งมองต้นโพธิ์เป็นเวลา 7 วันโดยไม่กระพริบพระเนตรเลย ทั้งนี้เพื่อระลึกถึงบุญคุณของต้นโพธิ์ที่แผ่กิ่งก้านให้ร่มเงาอันร่มรื่น เกื้อกูลแก่การบำเพ็ญเพียรทางใจ จนได้ตรัสรู้ สถานที่นั้นเรียกว่า อนิมิสเจดีย์

After attaining enlightment, the Buddha sat to enjoy the bliss of emancipation under the Bodhi tree for seven days. Then, he proceeded to the northest of the Bodhi tree and glanced at the tree for seven days without winking his eyes as to remind himself of the virtue of the Bodhi tree which helped provide the shade that enabled him to attain enlightenment. The place is called Animeshalochana Stupa.
